DID/DDI phone numbers - pricing models

You may have noticed that our DID/DDI numbers come with a choice of channels:

Getting "0 Dedicated" channels means that you would be paying for each inbound call. Most of our numbers will cost $0.006/minute. At the same time, you would be paying a lower monthly fee ($0.6/month - see the MRC column) for these "0 Dedicated" numbers. If you have a lot of inbound calls, the cost of your calls might add up and at some point it may become obvious that paying a bit more per month per number would be better -- if getting some free inbound minutes.

So, if you decide that you need some free inbound minutes/calls , you can click on the Channels menu and select a different option:

Selecting "2 Dedicated" channels will change the monthly cost (MRC) and will also give you two free inbound simultaneous calls (two callers can call you at the same time without you having to pay anything extra per minute):

Please note that this will NOT limit the total number of simultaneous calls you can receive.

If you're a more visual kind of person, here's a diagram that will explain how this works:

As you can see, each of these calls in the above diagram will cost you $0.006/minute.

If you opt for the "2 Dedicated Channels" option, your first two inbound simultaneous calls are free of charge:

All other calls (from 3 to 100 in this diagram) , will cost you $0.006/minute. (or whatever is shown on the pricing page, when you are buying the number).

If you are looking to LIMIT the number of simultaneous calls (for example you want to only limit your capacity to two simultaneous calls and all other calls should be rejected), you can do that AFTER purchasing the number - just edit the number and set the "Channel Overflow" setting to "Disabled" :

Next question is: are any of these choices limiting my outbound calling? The answer is NO.

Each account gets by default 2 channels for outbound calling. These come free of charge, and any increase of simultaneous allowed outbound calls will also be free of charge, if such increase in number of channels is approved by MultiTEL.
